1. Who is responsible

Friendly Scores is run by Mykola Skydan (the data controller). For any question about your data or to use a right below, contact support@friendlyscores.com. This notice explains what personal data the app collects, why, and what you can do about it.

2. What we collect

Account data: your email address, your name, an optional profile photo, and your password (stored only as a salted hash, never in plain text). Game data: the events and teams you take part in and the predictions you make. Technical data: your IP address, used to rate-limit sign-up, sign-in and password resets and to prevent abuse, and when you were last active, so we can see how the app is being used during the beta. We do not collect payment data, because the app moves no money.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

To run your account and the game, which is performance of our agreement with you (the Terms). To send account emails (verification, password reset, email change, invites), also part of that agreement. To keep the service secure and prevent abuse through rate-limiting, which is our legitimate interest. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

4. Cookies and sessions

We use a single strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in (a stateless session token). We do not use analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies, so the app shows no cookie consent banner.

5. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf: Amazon Web Services hosts the app and its database, and Amazon SES delivers our emails. The third-party football data provider supplies scores and fixtures and receives no personal data from us. We share your name, photo and predictions only with the other members of your own events and teams, so the game can work.

6. Where it is processed

The app and its database run on Amazon Web Services in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany; region eu-central-1). If data is transferred outside your country, it is done under the safeguards that provider offers.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time, which removes your account and game data. Some email delivery logs may persist briefly at our email provider, and backups roll off on their own schedule.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, and object to or restrict some processing. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, use the contact above. Deleting your account is the fastest way to erase your data yourself.

9. Security

Passwords are stored hashed, traffic is served over HTTPS, and access to the database is restricted. No online service can promise perfect security, but we aim to protect your data with reasonable measures.

10. Children

The app is for people who meet the minimum age in their country (see the Terms). It is not directed at young children and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes

We may update this notice. When we do, we change the date at the top. Significant changes will be made clear in the app.
